Summertime Photos

This collection of photos highlights activities that are popular among Americans, especially in the summer: 

• Students can describe what they see in each photo using basic vocabulary, then compare which activities
  they’ve tried or would like to try.
• Use the images as conversation starters, having students work in pairs to ask and answer questions about
  preferences, traditions, or similar activities in their own cultures.
• Turn the photos into a quick adjective practice activity by asking students to list adjectives that fit each image (e.g., sunny, crowded, relaxing), then use them in short sentences.
